Radiant Floor Solutions coil layouts take into account the building design with regard to external walls and glazed areas and
as can be seen from the typical layout shown below the density of pipe is increased in these areas.
You will also notice that the warmest water is always taken to the highest area of heat loss i.e. an external wall returning to
the manifold via the inner zone. This method of design ensures that the surface emissions are designed to counteract the
heat losses at the points at which they actually occur. This ensures an even space temperature even in those areas which
would otherwise be the coldest.
Other methods of laying which rely on evenly spaced pipes across the whole area cannot achieve this since reduced
temperatures will always occur against areas of high heat loss such as glazing and external walls.
